National Geographic, Clarks Lift Off with Apollo 11 Collab

National Geographic and Clarks have announced a special extension to their partnership range with the debut of a sneakers line inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

The Clarks Kids x National Geographic sustainable range includes two new shoes in the Ath Geo and Scape Sonar ranges. Both pairs come badged and colored in three styles to celebrate three planets and three themes: The Moon Landing 1969 (orange), Earth Focus 2019 (silver) and Mars Mission 2033 (black).

"This stylish extension to a wonderful, eco-friendly collection is perfectly timed and positioned to capture the thrill of the greatest moment in space exploration–and to encourage young people to dream of great space adventures still to come,” says Helena Mansell-Stopher, director, consumer products, publishing and retail, National Geographic Partners U.K.

The launch follows the debut earlier this year of the first Clarks Kids x National Geographic collection. Made from 100 percent recycled bottles, using

recycled cardboard and natural vegetable dye for the packaging, the line supports National Geographic’s

Photo Ark project
