‘Miffy,’ ‘Friday Night Dinner’ On Board for ‘Help Our NHS Heroes’ Campaign
Poetic Brands, Pogo Group and more have added more licensees for the Help Our NHS Heroes Campaign.
Clothing licensee Poetic Brands has added “Miffy” and “Friday Night Dinner” to the existing range of brands including Sooty, Thunderbirds, Haynes manuals and Original Stormtrooper.
In collaboration with retailer Pogo Group and printing company Fanela, Poetic Brands launched the www.helpournhsheroes.com website to sell the ranges and will donate 100 percent of the profits to NHS Charities Together.
Richard Cadell along with Those Licensing People were first on board to create a licensed range of Sooty mugs and t-shirts for the initiative, featuring the thank you message along with the characters from the evergreen property. The collection was shared on the Sooty Facebook page and created an 800 percent lift in sales.
Having launched with unlicensed ‘thank you’ designs initially, Poetic Brands and Pogo Group then teamed up with Haynes manuals, Original Stormtrooper and Thunderbirds, and the most recent additions of “Miffy” and “Friday Night Dinner,” to further expand the collection available on the site. The teams are now encouraging other brands to join and create new designs to raise funds for the charity. Any properties are welcome and don’t have to be previous or current partners.
“Consumers really want to help raise funds and say thank you to the teams working tirelessly to help the UK through this challenging time and this merchandise is the perfect way to communicate that message while also raising valuable funds,” says Anne Bradford, director, Poetic Brands. “The initial unlicensed designs were a huge hit, and the licensed ranges are also going down incredibly well. The more brands we have on board, the more fans we can potentially reach and the more money we can raise for NHS Charities Together.”
