Apparel brand Lacoste has inked a new deal with licensee Delta Galil to expand its brand into underwear and sleepwear.

The new five-year licensing agreement will see Delta Galil develop a collection of men's underwear, sleepwear and loungewear under the Crocodile brand.

The collection will debut in spring 2015 at Lacoste boutiques and in specialist stores.

“It was essential that we choose a licensed partner with a profound respect for our strong heritage and the sporting spirit of the Lacoste brand,” says Jose Luis Duran, chief executive officer, Lacoste. “The Delta Galil team has a perfect understanding of what our brand vision means. This choice reflects a desire on the part of Lacoste to benefit from the expertise of a specialist brand with the aim of developing an underwear line that meets high-quality standards."
