Iconix Brand Group has signed a three-year deal with Fila Korea subsidiary Sparks Glencoe Korea Co., which will expand the global reach of the Starter fashion line.

As part of the agreement, Sparks Glencoe will have the exclusive license to design, manufacture and market Starter footwear and undergarments in Korea. The new line from the partnership is expected to launch at retailers later this year.

“The Starter brand has great potential in the Korean market,” says Kevin Yoon, chief executive officer and president, Fila Korea. “We’ve already seen strong demand for Starter in our region, and we are excited for the opportunity to help the brand increase its international presence.”

Iconix recently expanded its licensing deal with Starter to include its Starter Black label early this year. On the heels of the expansion, the Starter brand signed an apparel deal with the now-defunct Alliance of American Football.
