Iconix Brings Starter to Amazon

The e-commerce giant will play host to the heritage sports apparel brand’s latest apparel line.

NORTH AMERICA–Iconix Brand Group has launched a new collection of Starter-branded activewear exclusively on Amazon.com.

The exclusive range, which is based on the brand’s heritage, includes a robust assortment of activewear and fashion apparel for men, women and kids–such as fleece classics, graphic tees and tech mesh.

“We are thrilled to announce that Starter is now available to Amazon’s tens of millions of Prime members,” says John Haugh, chief executive officer, Iconix.

Established in 1971, Starter is a heritage sports apparel brand that pioneered the fusion of sports clothing with pop culture, including logo apparel, and continues to create apparel items that honors its heritage and emphasizes quality and style. Iconix acquired the brand in 2007 for $60 million in cash. Since then, Iconix has secured a number collaborations, including with Clements Riberio in Europe, brought back the iconic 1980’s Starter satin jacket featuring all 30 MLB teams and hosted a pop-up shop in New York in 2014, among many other deals.

Starter’s latest apparel collection is now available exclusively on Amazon at Amazon.com/Starter.
