Auto brand will release its first men’s footwear collection in North America.

Goodyear Licensed Products, a division of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, will launch its first men’s casual footwear line in the U.S.

The Goodyear Performance collection will feature five styles–Ori Performance Racing, Clutch Performance Racing, Index Performance Racing, Groove Goodyear Racing and the Vulcan Var Canvas–that incorporate actual Goodyear tire tread patterns into the shoes’ soles and utilize components of car racing shoes.

SCL Footwear Group will distribute the collection.

“This line fills the void for a racing-inspired footwear line not previously available on the U.S. market,” says Joseph Safdeye, executive vice president, SCL Footwear. “In developing our Goodyear Performance collection, our goal was to provide the end consumer with Goodyear tread-inspired outsoles for maximum durability and traction. This collection provides avid racing fans and general consumers with a quality product at an affordable price, enabling them to express personal style and love for their favorite sport at the same time.”

The new footwear range will be available next month at specialty and department stores across the U.S.
