G-III Apparel Group has tapped Genesco to develop G.H. Bass men’s and women’s footwear in the U.S. and Canada.

Genesco is the fourth licensing partner G-III has brought on board since acquiring the G.H. Bass brand in 2013. Other licensees for the brand include PVH Corp. (men’s sportswear) and Overland Shoes (men’s, women’s and children’s footwear in Europe), as well as a deal for retail stores in Europe.

Genesco's new line of G.H. Bass footwear will arrive at better department and specialty stores in North America in spring 2016.

In addition to licensing, G-III plans to use its own expertise as a licensee to revitalize and build the G.H. Bass brand with new additions in other key categories such as women's apparel that will be produced in-house.
