FremantleMedia North America is expanding the Loteria brand, based on the traditional Latin American game, in two new partnerships with Mad Engine and Chronicle Books.

“As we head into the MAGIC global fashion and accessories marketplace, we’re thrilled to announce our new partnerships to expand the Loteria brand,” says Dhivyah Ramanath, senior manager, soft lines and publishing, licensing and merchandising, FremantleMedia North America. “Throughout the extensive history of Don Clemente’s version of the game, the original artwork found on the 54 cards has remained the same. Featuring these quintessential depictions on new products from Mad Engine and Chronicle Books will provide a great way to honor and enjoy the recognizable images that have remained consistent for hundreds of years.”

Mad Engine will combine Loteria with fashion in a full line of apparel including tanks and tops, hooded pullovers, zip fleece and even infant onesies. The new clothing line will include items for men, women, junior's, girls and boys.

Chronicle Books will bring a host of stationery products to market this fall across North America, the U.K. and Australia. Items will include journals, notebooks and notecards, all featuring trademarked images from the cultural pastime.

Consumers attending MAGIC Market Week this week in Las Vegas, Nev., can preview the Mad Engine line at booth 11116 in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
