Dubbed “Welcome to the Dojo,” the new line is inspired by ASICS’ Japanese heritage and celebrates the story of two dojos—the rising sun dojo, a fear-inducing locale; and the snake dojo, a highly-regarded institution that trains samurai.
The collection will be supported through a five-part custom anime-inspired digital series named “The Sun and the Snake” that features voiceovers by Luka Sabbat, Princess Nokia and YFN Lucci. BBDO created the series with animation from Studio Shotopop.
The Welcome to the Dojo collection will be available exclusively at Footlocker Inc. stores including Footlocker, Footaction and Champs Sports beginning Aug. 24.
