Every year, C&A makes a splash for Valentine’s Day with new collections that showcase love and friendship in all shapes and forms. This Valentine’s Day, one of pop culture’s most iconic couples, Popeye and Olive Oyl, are taking the spotlight in a playful apparel collection. C&A, in partnership with King Features Syndicate, a unit of Hearst and home to some of the world’s most popular entertainment characters, today announced a special collection that will allow adults and children to celebrate one of animation’s longest-running romances.

“We are inspired by the creative work and enthusiasm C&A has dedicated to spreading the love among fans in Mexico through this special collection,” says Carla Silva, vice president and general manager, global head of licensing, King Features. “Who better to lead this celebration of the heart than Popeye and Olive Oyl, who are not only a couple, but also the best of friends?”

The Popeye and Olive Oyl collection includes t-shirts and sweatshirts for men, women

and children in different fits, with a variety of prints and textures. Complementary designs, such as Popeye in love and Olive pining for him, will let fans coordinate their look with their partner or squad of friends.

“We want to celebrate February 14 in a different way: remembering a very special couple, with whom we laughed during our childhood and learned that love can do anything,” says Marcos Guerrero, chief marketing officer, C&A. “This collection features nautical details that will delight kids and grown-ups alike.”

Available Feb. 1-14, the collection will be sold in
