Brooks Brothers has released a capsule collection of apparel and accessories inspired by Warner Bros. Pictures’ The Great Gatsby, which arrives in theatres May 10.

Costume designer Catherine Martin worked closely with the men’s clothier to create the more than 500 men’s looks seen in the film, using images and products from Brooks Brothers’ archives as inspiration.

Brooks Brothers then adapted Martin’s creations for a limited edition collection now available in stores and online.

In addition to classic suit pieces including pants, jackets and vests, the collection also features blazers, cardigans, a tuxedo, stud cufflinks, a wing-tip shoe, a walking stick, bow ties and a straw boater hat.

The fact that F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of the original book The Great Gatsby, was a life-long Brooks Brothers customer added further depth the collaboration, said Martin.

“It was this most basic and fundamental connection that has made our collaboration so authentic,” she says. “Brooks Brothers is mentioned several times in Fitzgerald’s writings as a representation of the ultimate gentleman’s purveyor of fine clothing to the American man of distinction.”

In addition to the capsule collection, Brooks Brothers stores around the world are featuring Gatsby-themed window displays and the company is showcasing some of the 1,700 products it produced for the film at its flagships in New York, Beverly Hills, Milan, Tokyo, London and Hong Kong, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
