After working with the likes of Valentino, Rick Owens and Proenza Schouler, Birkenstock has added another designer to its list of collaborations: Stefan Pilati, namely, his brand Random Identities.
“The prints and fabrications are all based off my personal style,” says Pilati. “I wanted to intervene on the original design, giving the sense of an update while keeping intact the functionality of Birkenstock’s orthopedic tradition.”
In addition, an elasticized band has been added to the two buckles on the Arizona to give a new sensibility to the sandal.
Three style options have been added to the classic Birkenstock Arizona: a black brocade, utilitarian black leather and custom olive leopard print in fur.
The designer collaboration is now available on 1774.com.
