Bioworld Merchandising is setting its sights on the children’s market with the acquisition of Nolan Glove Co.

The New York-based, family-run Nolan Glove Co. was founded in 1920 and specializes in children’s headwear and spring/cold weather accessories.

Bioworld plans to use the acquisition as a platform to expand its reach into children’s accessories.

The new Nolan Originals division of Bioworld will work with brands such as Carters, Osh Kosh and Laundry by Shelli Segal, as well as the Nolan Glove Co.’s private label brands.

“The Nolan team brings superior expertise in headwear and cold weather accessories, which will continue to benefit our brand partners and customers alike,” says Raj Malik, president and chief executive officer, Bioworld Merchandising. “We will capitalize upon their expertise in the accessory field and bring this offering to all of the Bioworld customers, expanding distribution worldwide.”
