Madrid-based Grupo Cortefiel, owners of the women’s specialty retailer Women’secret, is launching a new fashion collaboration using the Betty Boop character.

In a deal brokered by international licensing agent King Features, Betty Boop will star in a brand campaign at Women’secret stores throughout Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and parts of Asia.

The Betty Boop collection includes pajamas, nightshirts, nightdresses, t-shirts, pants, shorts, sweatshirts, dressing gowns, bras and briefs, alongside vanity cases, hair accessories and slippers.

“We’re thrilled to partner again with Women’secret after our successful Olive Oyl collaboration in 2012. Cortefiel has given Betty the soft feminine treatment that is so well suited to the Women’secret customer and to the Betty Boop brand itself,” says Cathleen Titus, vice president, international licensing, King Features.

Women’secret has more than 640 points of sale in 62 countries, with plans to open an additional 100 around the world.
