Fox International’s BabyTV channel has launched its first dedicated collection of children’s apparel in a direct-to-retail deal with Latin American retailer La Polar.

The deal was negotiated by BabyTV’s agent P&L Global and Fox One Stop Media Licensing & Merchandising, a business unit of Fox Latin American Channels.

Now on sale at La Polar stores across Chile, the clothing range includes t-shirts, nightwear, bodysuits, bibs and hats featuring characters and artwork from the channel. Additional items will be added in 2014.

A range of plush toys featuring some of BabyTV’s popular characters is also available to complement the apparel collection.

“We are delighted to be working with a major retailer like La Polar and see our first coordinated range of clothing and plush go on sale,” says Ralf Kies, senior vice president, licensing and content sales, BabyTV. “With more licensees already on board for Latin America we look forward to launching more apparel lines across the region in 2014.”
