Authentic Brands Group has signed a new licensing agreement with Global Brands Group, the licensing spin-off of Li & Fung, for its fashion brand Jones New York.

The long-term licensing agreement will see Global Brands will design, produce, and distribute products for the Jones New York brand across multiple categories including womenswear, menswear, kidswear, accessories and footwear.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with Global Brands, as their extensive design expertise, prominent retail relationships, and global distribution capabilities will be instrumental in helping Jones New York reclaim its position as the leading professional, tailored brand,” says Jamie Salter, chairman and chief executive officer, ABG.

The first range of Jones New York products produced in collaboration with Global Brands will launch in fall 2016. In conjunction with the Global Brands product lines, ABG is developing an omni-channel marketing strategy to activate the brand with new creative, messaging and key initiatives across all media channels.

“We are delighted to build on our long-standing strategic partnership with ABG, which already includes other strong performing brands such as Juicy Couture and Spyder,” says Bruce Rockowitz, chief executive officer and vice chairman, Global Brands Group. “Jones New York is a welcome addition to Global Brands’ portfolio, and we are excited to be working with ABG to redefine and expand this enduring classic.”
