Reebok Steps into New Gym Concept
The new retail concept will promote healthy living in communities across the country.
NORTH AMERICA–Reebok has partnered with the design firm Gensler for a new retail concept and campaign, called Get Pumped, to encourage healthy living nationwide.
The partnership will see gas stations across the U.S. transformed into “fuel stations for the body.” The re-imagined spaces will serve as fitness, wellness and food hubs where visitors can engage in healthy activity.
The concept will take shape in three different forms–the Network, the Community Center and the Oasis.
The Network will include interstate rest stops that Reebok envisions as “the power grids of the future” and places where travelers can stop and generate energy through spinning, boxing, CrossFit and more. Meanwhile, the Community Center will include local, small-town gas stations that have been transformed for visitors to charge electric cars and attend nutrition classes in the auto repair shop. Pop-up trucks will also offer rotating CrossFit and spinning classes.
Finally, the Oasis will include larger gas stations along local highways. The spaces will be transformed into “recharge zones” to capitalize on the mental and physical rest commuters need. The destination will also offer farm-to-table food, a juice bar, yoga and meditation pods. The exterior will also house an herb garden.
