Gap Debuts Second GQ Line


Gap has introduced its second exclusive menswear collection designed by GQ's four Best New Menswear Designers in America.

The new collaboration follows a similar partnership last year and has resulted in a range of menswear pieces that showcase each rising designer's signature style.

The menswear collection will include hats, belts, tweed ties, backpacks, scarves, graphic tees, oxfords, chambray shirts, utility pants, fleece sweatpants, denim, blazers, vests, parkas and waxed field jackets.

The four designers, along with the pieces from their limited-edition Gap capsule collections, will be featured in an advertising insert in the October issue of GQ.

The designers include:

  • Aviator Nation founder Paige Mycoskie who develops her own fabric washes and graphics, giving her collection a lived-in vintage feel;
  • Matt Baldwin's Baldwin, which combines functionality with a clean architectural aesthetic;
  • Brothers Liam and Sammy Fayed of Bespoken fuse Savile Row traditions with a rock 'n' roll attitude to create sharp, modern menswear; and
  • Specializing in handcrafted heritage materials and authentic finishes, Ernest Alexander takes the rugged yet refined man from workday to weekend.
