Freeze will handle the menswear active collection and Stepping Stones will focus on infantwear.
The ‘80s U.S. streetwear brand B.U.M. Equipment and Freeze have joined forces to license its menswear active collection.
In addition, B.U.M. has signed two other long-term licensing agreements with Stepping Stones International for a complete line of infant and toddler footwear, including shoes, flip flops and baby accessories, and infant and toddler hosiery. The new licenses bring B.U.M.’s total to 10 since its re-launch last year.
“With Freeze we found the perfect company to license our most trusted asset, the menswear piece, with a rollout of a complete line of knitted Sportswear both manufactured domestically and imported,” says Stephen Wayne, chairman of the board, B.U.M. Equipment. “After meeting with Charlie Tebele, CEO of Freeze, late last year we came together very quickly. Their fine reputation with all the targeted retailers made the decision for me very easy. Not only are they one of the leaders in their arena, but they excel in developing product for individual retailers."
Furthermore, Freeze is slated to showcase the new B.U.M. Equipment menswear at MAGIC in Las Vegas, Nev., Feb. 21-23.
“We are extremely excited about this partnership,” says Jack Mehani, chief executive officer, Stepping Stones. “We feel this is natural for us since we have an extensive knowledge and experience in these product categories. We are planning on launching a full collection for holiday/spring 2018 utilizing the B.U.M. Equipment brand recognition for its heritage direction and brand reputation.”
