Barbour, Alexa Chung Collab for Festival Season
Alexa Chung has partnered with British apparel company Barbour to design a fashion line ahead of the music festival season.
Chung was able to go into Barbour’s 125-year-old brand archive to uncover inspiration for the collaboration. She told The Independent that she grew up an avid fan of the company and was excited to work with its designers to build a line in time for the music festival season.
“Some of my happiest memories have unfolded in a Barbour,” says Chung. “The smell of the wax alone makes me feel like I’m home. For me, Barbour has been part of my childhood, my coming of age, and I am extraordinarily proud that it is now part of my future.”
The new collection will include seven jackets, three tote bags and one bucket hat. Customers can expect to buy from the line this June.
