The Tetris Company, the group that represents the licensing interests of the Tetris brand globally, has tapped IMG to serve as its merchandise and licensing representative in the Asian market through 2020.

The deal will see IMG celebrate Tetris’ 35th anniversary in 2019 across various consumer product categories including apparel, accessories, bags and backpacks, footwear, consumer electronics, home décor, furniture and more.

The Tetris 35th anniversary collection will be sold in Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and in select retailers in Japan.

“Tetris is one of the top-selling video games of all time,” says Miki Yamamoto, senior vice president, licensing, IMG. “It’s played across all age groups, from teenagers seeking unique and innovative products, college students looking for a smart and intelligent lifestyle and parents who have been enjoying Tetris since they were young. We are delighted to be working with The Tetris Company to capture the hearts of the game’s fan base with new products and build upon the popularity of this cultural phenomenon.”
