Whether it’s partnering with Walmart to launch an exclusive Gap Kids Home Line, or a strategic partnership with Unlimited Footwear Group for Gap-branded footwear in Europe, Gap is increasingly introducing cross-category product extensions to extend its brand beyond typical retail. It has even ventured into NFTs, with collaborations with Brandon Sines and Dapper Dan.
Now, Gap and De Rigo have announced the launch of their first collection of branded eyewear through their partnership, delivering a line of sunglasses and optical wear for adults, juniors and kids.
Created in a deal facilitated by IMG, the Gap-branded eyewear collection offers styles to celebrate the individuality of each customer. The collection will launch with a large selection of sun and optical eyewear for adults, juniors and kids, ranging from classic frames with clean lines to more fashion-forward frames in bold colors. The launch collection includes three capsules: Lifestyle, Elevated Essentials and Optimistic Color. Additionally, each pair of Gap-branded glasses comes with a hardshell case and cleaning cloth or drawstring pouch, made from recycled materials.
Available in the U.S., the new line will be available on De Rigo’s official website.
