Eyewear creator De Rigo has announced a licensing agreement for the design, production and distribution of Gap-branded prescription frames and sunglasses in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil.

The agreement with De Rigo, brokered by IMG, will create eyewear collections for men, women and children.

"We are excited and proud to announce our new partnership with Gap," says Michele Aracri, managing director, De Rigo Vision. "With an en vogue product offering at an affordable price that appeals across the board to consumers of different ages, Gap fits perfectly into our portfolio and represents an important step for De Rigo in its development plan in the Americas."

The first Gap eyewear collection is scheduled to be launched in 2022 and distributed through De Rigo and in select Gap specialty stores.

"Partnering with licensees such as De Rigo gives us the opportunity to amplify our strong, globally relevant brand and extend its reach to customers around the world," says Adrienne Gernand, senior vice president, strategic alliances and licensing, franchise, global real estate, store development, Gap.
